Company Overview
  From it's humble beginning as a manufacturer of power conversion products in the early 1990s, Golden Regent Electronics Industrial Ltd. (GRE) today is evolving to become one of Asia's emerging manufacturers of a diversified range of power magnetic products and provides OEM and ODM contract manufacturing service to global customers.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, GRE today has a total workforce of 3,000 employees and has 6 facilities; of which 4 are China-based production facilities with over 300,000 sq. ft of production space and a sales office in the USA. All the GRE facilities are ISO9001 certified and the company intends to be QS 9000 and ISO14000 accredited by the first Quarter of 2004. The GRE operational infrastructures are supported by a comprehensive IT system and a motivated workforce with a corporate culture focused intensely on quality and creating value for customers. To further complement the company's products, GRE is further strengthening up competence in a comprehensive range of value-added services such as strategic procurement, supplier network management, logistics and distribution services.

1989 Establishment of GRI as OEM manufacturer of power magnetic components
1990 Xi Xiang plant I, China was established. 30,000 sq. ft.
1995 Xi Xiang Plant 2, China was established. 100,000 sq. ft.
1996 Establishment of GRE to take over the power magnetic division from GRI
1997 Dong Guang plant III was established. 55,000 sq. ft.
1998 ISO 9001 certified
Implementation of Lotus Notes and linked up network system of all GRE facilities
Implementation of MRP software system
1999 Acquisition of OEM trading division from Advanced Power Technology Inc.
Establishment of GRE, North America
2001 Tai San GRE plant established. 120,000 sq. ft.
GRE purchased the assets of NEI Limited and further strengthen its contract manufacturing and plastic injection capabilities.
